Guarantee Coverage

OrbitX provides the following guarantee, which extends to the purchaser of the OrbitX product who purchased directly from OrbitX or from an authorised OrbitX reseller.

Important Requirement

All guarantee services require your invoice number (serves as guarantee number) and the product's serial number. Please retain your invoice as no guarantee service will be provided without this information.

Products are guaranteed free of defects in materials or workmanship:

8 Years

  • • Neptune & Phoebe Integrated LED Luminaires
  • • Battery backup - OrbitX dc to dc converter

6 Years

  • • Titan, Puck, Rhea & Geminus luminaires
  • • Tube lamps

5 Years

  • • Integrated LED flood lights
  • • Battery backup - 3rd party dc to dc converter

1 Year

  • • Battery backup - lithium battery

Light Output Guarantee

Guaranteed minimum 70% of original light output:

3 Years

Titan, Puck, Rhea, Geminus & Tube lamps

Integrated LED flood lights

Service Terms

During the guarantee period, OrbitX will repair or replace defective parts with new or reconditioned parts at OrbitX's option, without charge to the purchaser.

Shipping Policy

  • • First 60 days: OrbitX covers all shipping fees
  • • After 60 days: Customer covers shipping fees both ways

All original parts replaced become OrbitX property. After-market modifications void the guarantee. Purchaser is responsible for removal/reinstallation costs.

Exclusions & Limitations

Guarantee Does Not Cover:

  • • Force majeure, misuse, or improper installation
  • • Poor electrical connections or negligence by other parties
  • • Non-compliance with OrbitX specifications or NRS048 standards
  • • Voltage surges exceeding 1500V (visible MOV damage)
  • • Third-party components not supplied by OrbitX
  • • Abnormal operating conditions or customer arrears

Liability Limitation

OrbitX liability is limited to the original purchase price. No liability for commercial losses, business interruption, or consequential damages.

Governing Law

All terms and provisions of this guarantee are governed by South African law, regardless of conflicts of law principles of any jurisdiction.
